THX is an American based company

Trivia[]

  • The logo is infamous for scaring younger kids using its trademark sound effect, the Deep Note.
  • It was also used for People who can use it to Scare Characters from their Favorite franchises and turn it into a crossover.
  • In fact, it was even used for videos of characters watching the THX logo, a ghost in a lamp, couch, table, etc. telling the character not to watch it because of the logo.

Number Picture Trailer Name Trailer Trivia FX/SFX Music/Sound Effects Availability Scare Factor

Wings thx logo
"Wings" We begin with a black screen, just before the text reads "For the past 35 years, motion picture loudspeaker systems have not changed..." And then, it fades to black and more text reads "Lucasfilm Ltd. and this theatre are pleased to introduce a new motion picture sound system." That text fades to black and it stays black for a moment, The text fading in and out. A synthesized crescendo sound we call the "Deep Note". Extinct, because this trailer is only seen in  the theatrical release of Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi in theaters as seen in Dallas and Hollywood, and we have never even seen it on home video releases at all. You can still see it on select Demo DVDs and at THX's official website (and also Vimeo and YouTube). Medium to high.
2 "Broadway" Original: Low, for reasons similar to the previous logo. Otherwise it’s a great logo and a favorite of many.

DVD: Medium, VHS: High to nightmare

3 "Cimarron" Incredible CGI animation, which is done at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).
  • Dolby Digital variant: Low,since the dark atmosphere and giant THX logo flying through the screen, along with the thunder noise in the LaserDisc variant, could raise the scare factor pretty high a little, but the incredible animation and music has made this a favorite of many.

  • With the original music: Medium, since the jarring soundtrack of the wormhole may startle viewers.
4 "Grand"

6 "Tex" The THX logo fades in, as usual, Low to medium. Sure, we still have the Deep Note, but, heck, it is intended to be funny, and a favorite of many, even among Pixar fans, such as myself.
7 "Tex 2: Moo Can" None, unless you are afraid of Tex or have THX-phobia. Like the previous trailer, it is intended to be funny, and another favorite of a lot of people, especially Pixar fans, like myself.
8 "Broadway 2000"
9 "Cavalcade", "T-1000-HX", "Sphere of Doom"
10 "Shrek"
11 "Bounty"
12 "The Science of Sensation"
13 "Ziegfeld", "Broadway 2006"
14 "Tex 3: Action" Low to medium. Much like the sixth trailer, it’s supposed to be funny but it might scare those with THX-phobia. Then again, it could be another favorite among the Pixar fan base.
15 "Amazing Life"
16 "Horton"
17 "Broadway 3D"
18 "Musical Wisps"
19 "Eclipse"
20 "Sphere"
21 "Genesis"
