Kangaroo Jack is a 2003 comedy movie made by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Bad Qualities[]

  1. Charlie and Louis are not very good protagonists.
  2. Annoying attempts at humor.
  3. The poster was truly misleading. Why? Because it tricked us into believing that Jackie could be the protagonist, but, no, they lied to us! Even the commercials and title made it worse. He only appears for about four minutes out of one hour and thirty minutes, and worst of all, he doesn’t even talk, if not counting the Chicken Blood dream sequence.
  4. The story gets boring, despite what the trailer says.
  5. The tagline "He stole the money... and he's not giving it back" wasn't clever, original, or creative at all.
  6. Innuendos in a children’s movie, like when Charlie grabs Jessie's breasts.
  7. The CGI on Kangaroo Jack himself doesn’t look too convincing. And why does he look like a poorly made live action Scooby Doo reject?
  8. A gross scene where Charlie and Louis take selfies with Kangaroo Jack's unconscious body.
  9. The movie is not capable of deciding what target viewers it's for. First off, it’s marketed as a kids' movie, with the promotional material focusing on Kangaroo Jack to make it look like a comedy about a talking animal in order to appeal to young viewers, but secondly, it also tries to appeal to adults with dirty humor, innuendo and violent themes that are far too inappropriate to be in what is supposedly a kids' movie. The final result is a movie that will never know what it’s supposed to be. By the way, it’s like it might have been rated PG-13 instead of PG just like another movie.
  10. Plothole: If the American gangsters are trying to find the two missing couriers in the middle of the desert, why would they throw the pilot out of their car when they realize that they had been his passengers and he might, therefore, have a good idea of where to find them?

Good Qualities[]

  1. Good soundtrack.
  2. A few jokes that actually succeeded.
  3. The animated sequel that followed it was better.
  4. The visual effects are okay.
