Phineas and Ferb is an animated musical comedy TV series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. It is created by Dan Povenmire & Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, and features the voices of Vincent Martella, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ashley Tisdale, Alyson Stoner, Dee Bradley Baker, Maulik Pancholy, Bobby Gaylor, Povenmire, Marsh, Caroline Rhea, Richard O' Brien, Mitchell Musso, Kelly Hu, Olivia Olson, and Ariel Winter. The humor relies on running gags used in almost all the episodes. The show follows Phineas Flynn and his stepbrother Ferb Fletcher, who build a new project every day during the summer, which annoys their sister Candace, who tries to bust them but fails every time, much to her frustration. The subplot features Phineas and Ferb's pet, Perry the Platypus working as a spy for the O.W.C.A. (Organization Without a Cool Ancronym), to defeat any scheme of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, driven largely by his evilness (although he is not necessarily evil and is good-hearted in some situations).  

Cast

• Vincent Martella: Phineas Flynn, an optimistic boy and one of the two titluar protagonists (alongside Ferb) and Ferb's stepbrother, and Candace's brother.
• Ashley Tisdale: Candace Flynn, Phineas and Ferb's highly-strung sister who often tries to bust them, but never succeeds. She also has a romantic interest in Jeremy Johnson.
• Thomas Sangster: Ferb Fletcher, Phineas and Candace's stepbrother who does not talk much.
• Alyson Stoner: Isabella Garcia-Shapiro, a sweet and cute little girl who lives across the street from Phineas, and has a crush on him, and hopes to someday have a romantic relationship with him. She is also the leader of the Fireside Girls Troop 46231, and is good friends with the members of her troop.
  • Stoner also voices Jenny Brown, one of Candace's friends who is somewhat of a hippie.
• Dee Bradley Baker: Perry the Platypus (codename Agent P.), a platypus who lives a double life as Phineas and Ferb's pet and a secret agent.

Meanwhile, Perry is in the middle of Dr. Doofenshmirtz's family reunion where Dr. Doofenshmirtz tries to win the annual kickball tournament using the Kick-inator 5000. / Phineas and Ferb make the largest airplane in the world using newspaper called the "Paper Pelican", which is full of entertainment and in-flight service, while Doof is plotting to go green by using recycled materials to build an "Evaporator-inator" to dry up all the pools in the entire -State Area, and Candace and Stacy go to Jeremy's pool party but then find an adventurous Australian girl capturing Jeremy's attention.

	Phineas and Ferb try to help Isabella and the Fireside Girls save the star-nosed mole by building a car wash, while Stacy wants Candace to play hard to get with Jeremy. Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz attempts to make a mountain out of a molehill - literally.

	Phineas and Ferb, thinking Perry is lost, create a music device to search for him, while Candace fears it is her fault that Perry is gone, and goes to the Tri-State Area to find him, while it is revealed that Doofenshmirtz has been demoted to a low-level enemy with Perry forced to be reassigned to a more evil enemy and a new family. / Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Candace, and the rest of the Flynn-Fletchers are shipwrecked on an island by a summer storm, and Phineas, Ferb, and Isabella get the opportunity to build a ship, but Candace becomes frustrated, and demands that they build a boat so that she can get to Jeremy’s party, and when he knows what “big laundry” means, Doofenshmirtz uses free monkey labor to start up a new laundromat business.

	When the kids play "hide and seek", they have themselves shrunken to smaller size, even the boys' biggest fan, Irving, with Candace trying to show the shrinking machine to Linda so that she can bust them, while Doofenshmirtz connects a nanobot to Perry while trying to find out where he lives, sees Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Buford, Baljeet and Irving while doing so. / Baljeet is wanting to impress his childhood friend, Mishti, so he gets Phineas and Ferb to help him woo her. However, none of their over-the-top romantic plans impress her, as she already likes Baljeet for who he truly is, while Perry tries to stop a sleep deprived Doofenshmirtz from moving the Danville Lighthouse to the other side of town so that he isn't bothered by all the ships.

	When Baljeet worries about his grades, Phineas and Ferb help him at a summer rock camp, and Candace sees that Stacy is like a third, typically single person to come with, and sets her up with Coltrane and the two start to get along, while Dr. Doofenshmirtz tries to make an army of babies. / Vanessa attempts to get her dad, Doofenshmirtz, a capsule showing a rare chemical in the Superduper Mega Superstore in order to prove to him that she's responsible enough to have her own car. Even with Ferb helping her, what originally seems a simple task becomes harder when Candace, Stacy, Buford, Baljeet and Perry also try to get the capsule for their own purposes.

	Candace finds a bunny outside the Flynn-Fletcher house and decides to care for it. The rabbit turns out to be Dennis, an ex-OWCA agent who had gone rogue and is determined to hack into Perry's lair, and steal the agency's system, while Phineas and Ferb buy some X-ray glasses, and then when they feel that they are ripoffs, they build their own pair. The glasses give them the idea of helping others. Doofenshimrtz, realizing that Perry is not coming, decides to create Planty the Potted Plant as a replacement. He planned the induction of every dog in the apartment next to his lair, so that he would not be irritated by them. / Candace and Stacy have a spa day, but, because of Candace, get distracted by Jeremy building houses, and Jeremy decides to have her and Stacy help them. Phineas and Ferb see this as inspiration and get their own spa day, while Doofenshimrtz finds a lost kitten who causes trouble with his old inators.

Critical reception

The series has received really positive reviews from critics. I also highly enjoyed the show, praising the animation, characters (especially Phineas and Isabella), humor, musical numbers, action, and voice acting.

Why I (Absolutely) Love It

1. Awesome, amazing, and great animation.
2. The theme song is one of the most unforgettable theme songs I've ever listened to.
3. Lots of great episodes, that are indeed enjoyable.
4. Encourages creativity.
5. The characters in the series (except for Suzy Johnson and Doofenshmirtz's parents) are lovable with distinct personalities.
   • Particularly enough, Isabella is the most adorable character in the show!
6. The musical numbers are very catchy, great, fun, and awesome.
7. Two subplots in every episode (one about Phineas and Ferb, and another about Perry).
8. So many cool action scenes!
9. Perry is an awesome character, and his theme song is super-catchy!
10. Great voice acting, most notably from Vincent Martella of Everybody Hates Chris, lovely actress Alyson Stoner, and Ashley Tisdale, who previously played Sharpay from that great musical TV movie, High School Musical.
11. Hilarious and unique running gags for the series, like:
    1. Doofenshmirtz shouting "Curse you, Perry the Platypus!" almost every time he’s been defeated.
    2. Candace attempting to get her brothers busted and always failing.
    3. Someone asking "Hey, where's Perry?", and then cutting to Perry going to his secret spy organization.
    4. Dooofenshmirtz’s "-inators" always failing because of Perry.
    5. Phineas and Ferb’s inventions always disappearing because of Doofenshmirtz and Perry’s side of the story.
    6. Doofenshmirtz having a backstory for each of his "-inators", which is also tragic at the same time.
12. It has spawned a great TV movie which is fun to watch.
13. Really exciting writing.
14. The character designs are interesting.

The One Bad Quality

1. There are at least two bad episodes, consisting of "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!" and "Candace Gets Busted".
